I figured over the next two days I would blog about some of the things I am thankful for, it being Thanksgiving and all.

Konane (Ko-nah-nee) a beautiful white guy at KHS with one bright blue and one brown eye! |
I was at the gym this morning, and as I expected, it was very empty. I was on a bike and slowly, the people around me started trickling out, until I was alone in the room. I took out my earbuds, and you could hear a pin drop. I couldn't live without solitude, I don't know what I would do. When I left there and headed to KHS, the fall air was crisp, and it was so cold. I love this season soooo much - super thankful! Very thankful for my family, as always. This morning there was a scary guy at the bus stop and my Mom stayed on the phone the whole time until the bus came.
I have volunteered at KHS for give or take 6 months now and I think that's what I most thankful for. I was there for awhile this morning, and it was awesome. There is something about shelter animals that I really, really love. They don't really expect anything, and when you give them a toy, or pick them up or pet them, you can tell they really appreciate it. There is finally more than 1 cat room open again so that was great! Lots of kittens and cats to play with. I always feel like its a privilege to go there any play with them all.

My new favourite cat, Sir. I always seem to flock to older, low energy cats. I think I always just imagine if my cat was stuck at KHS he'd act just like these big guys. Sir sits on your lap and doesn't even try to move just loves to sleep and get petted. |

I tried to take a photo of him so he started investigating (see next photos) |

Litters of crazy kittens |

This little guy has no name but reminds me of our old cat, Pickles, |

Classic kitten... MUST chew on my name tag. |
 |
You can see all the bite marks around my name tag from the many kittens I have cuddled over the last few months! |
AND OF COURSE, I am VERY thankful for my little guy below! So thankful that I got him a new cat nip toy from the KHS gift shop. He's chewing on it below. It has cat nip which is probably what HE is most thankful for!

Enjoying his new catnip toy I got him at KHS |
This evening I am making a small ham for the holiday dinner. When my family comes in November we'll be cooking a belated turkey! Happy Thanksgiving!
