So... my productive day turned into me hunting for an Iphone 4s to replace my slowly dying Blackberry Bold . I was pretty sad to no longer be a RIM supporter, I have always loved my blackberry, but I have the newest model of the bold, and it just isn't cutting it. My first impression of the Iphone is AMAZING, so hopefully that doesn't change.
One thing I am SUPER excited to try next time I am in the field, is the app called "
leaf snap". You can snap a picture of any leaf and the app identifies the species for you! That's just SO wild in my opinion. I will keep you up to date on that for sure!
I can't say I accomplished much today....it took me most of the day to even find a Rogers location that had the phone I wanted and then when I did, it took over an hour to seal the deal. I did take a new picture of Meanie (my cat) today, to submit to the KHS calendar, and my friend Kari sharpened the photo up for me! So excited! I will (or will not) enter some of my data tonight. That all depends on how ambitious I am, and things aren't looking up.
I did read a great paper today about herbivore-induced volatiles that I'll do a blog about tomorrow - - fascinating stuff!
